Play on Xishan 耍西山

The third of the third month 三月三 is a festival in many areas and also in Kunming. It is believed that if one climbs Xishan on that day one will stay healthy for the year.

On this day many Kunming residents make their way to Xishan, where the local government usually throws up some performances and discounts, for a walk and a picnic.
