A modern, central Yunnan town along the old road from Kunming to Dali.
星宿桥: The main crossing of the Luyi River 禄衣河, one of the lowest points on the Kunming-Dali road, gave rise to what is today Lufeng Town. The Xingsu Bridge 星宿桥, build during the late Qing, still stands today, void of traffic in a park in Lufeng.
Lufeng was once a major town along the trading route into western Yunnan. Caravans had to cross the Luyi river here, where the water was calm, and the level surrounding county side was good for agriculture.
Today Lufeng is a modern, generally non-descript county town, with a nice park where the old bridge still stands.
